Tut Tut NYT: Digvijay Singh in #SelfieWithDaughter Blooper
A Twitter troll put up Digvijay Singh’s old pictures which were accidentally picked up by the New York Times.
Veteran Congress leader Digvijay Singh may be baying for Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s blood after details of the Vyapam Scam came out.
But in the West, Diggi Raja is in the news for all the wrong reasons.
A New York Times article about Prime Minister Modi’s #SelfieWithDaughter campaign, made an error when they carried a troll’s tweet that featured one of the pictures of Digivijay Singh and former Rajya Sabha TV anchor Amrita Rai which emerged last year and created quite a stir during the campaigning for the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections.
The NYT, visibly embarrassed, removed the tweet and have posted a correction under the article.
Since NYT removed the tweet, we think that this tweet, by a fake account in the name of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may have lent credibility to the cause and consequently caused the blooper.
