Forty two thousand feet above the sea, Turkish Airlines welcomed an unexpected guest. Passenger Nafi Diaby went into labour while flying from Conakry, Guinea, to Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso.

The airlines crew helped the 28-weeks pregnant Diaby deliver a healthy baby. The mother named her baby Kadiju.

Some of the passengers too came forward to help the mother deliver.

The international airlines later issued a statement praising the efforts of the crew. It said: "The cabin crew noticed that a woman passenger named Nafi Diaby, 28 weeks into her pregnancy, was suffering childbirth pains."
