Rajiv-Sonia Love Story on the Big Screen
In February this year, TV actor Karanvir Bohra annunced plans to make a short film titled Ijazat, based on the love story of Rajiv and Sonia Gandhi. A still shared on Twitter, which shows Karanvir and his co-star Priya Banerjee recreate an old photograph of Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia at a ice-cream stall near India Gate, gives us a glimpse of the era that the film is set in.
In a statement, the actor said, “It’s tribute to Sonia and Rajiv ji’s love story, but it’s fiction. Neither does it have any political agenda nor is it an attempt to grab eyeballs. It is a simple story which is made to create a different content for audience.” Read the full story on The Quint.
