Russian TV Reporter Punched in The Face During Live Reporting

Journalists on field have it tough. Reporting news from ground zero in the heart of action isn’t an easy fete. Especially when you are covering a matter of conflict. But does annual Paratroopers Day count as one such matter of conflict? Well, we wouldn’t have believed it, and then we saw this.

This Russian TV reporter from NTV Channel has made headlines after he was sent staggering with a punch in the face, while he was covering the celebrations from the annual Paratrooper’s Day.

According this sputniknews report, Nikita Razvozzhayev was giving his piece to camera at Gorky Park in Moscow, when a drunk bystander interrupted him.

In the video, Razvozzhayev can be heard, politely asking the man to keep it down, seconds before the latter landed a punch in the reporter’s face. Luckily, the man was quickly apprehended by the cops in the vicinity before he could cause any more harm.

The live video capturing the whole incident has gone viral since.

Additional reports identified the man as an ex-paratrooper, but the Moscow branch of the Interior Ministry denied such claims, as per the Dailymail.com.

As per the same report, witnesses have shared that the man was wearing a T-shirt that brandished the initials of a terrorist organisation OPLOT.
