Indian cricketers love challenges, both on and off the field. So it didn’t come as a surprise when the Men in Blue took the Mannequin Challenge after celebrating the Chennai Test victory against England.

But just when you thought Mannequin Challenge was so laaaaast year, the IPL has brought it back to life, with four of IPL teams (Rising Pune Supergiant, Delhi Daredevils, Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad) giving it a shot.

It is safe to say that our cricketers love tedha challenges, the latest being the #BreakTheBeard challenge.

Before you ask, Virat Kohli was not the first to lead the way. It was, in fact, Rajput boy Ravindra Jadeja, who took to Twitter on 18 April with a teaser. “Time to get rid of the uniform,” he tweeted.

He took to Instagram to share a 20-second video. Watch:

Mumbai Indians Captain, Rohit Sharma decided to follow moustache king Jadeja’s footsteps and went in for some summer style of his own. And boy does he look goooood!

Little did Jadeja know that he would inspire quite a few of his bearded colleagues. Hardik Pandya dedicated his #BreakTheBeard Challenge to Jadeja and did his bit to end the confusion in the dressing room.

Late to the party, but captain Kohli eventually decided to refrain.

Who looks better without the beard? Who do you think should take the #BreakTheBeard challenge next?
