Pak Official Caught Stealing On CCTV; Twitter Rages Over Incident
Pakistani official caught stealing Kuwaiti official’s wallet.
In what can be described as an embarrassing incident for Pakistan, a bureaucrat was filmed stealing a Kuwaiti official’s wallet. The Kuwaiti delegation was reportedly visiting Pakistan to discuss investment plans. They launched an official complaint upon discovering that a wallet had gone missing.
On reviewing the footage on the CCTV (of the Finance Ministry of Pakistan), a video was uncovered where the Grade 20 GoP official can be seen picking up a wallet.
Twitter Slams the Accused
Upon learning about the incident, Twitter users were quick to ridicule and condemn the actions of the officer. They described the incident as a “national embarrassment”.
Many people asked for the official to be named and shamed for the theft. They also suggested that the state should punish the accused.
