Unrepentant workaholics are too busy to realise what day it is today and we don’t blame them for obvious reasons. But for the idlers, let us enlighten you that today – 5 July is Workaholics Day.
Yeah! That’s how we reacted too. Isn’t there a National Idlers Day? #JustSaying.
So why have a Workaholics Day? It’s simple, remember the cliche, ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’. That’s exactly what National Workaholics Day tries to remind you. It’s time to send the workaholic in you on a break at least for today to celebrate the unofficial holiday.

For the past few years, Salman Bhai has been ‘working really hard’ to stay away from controversies. But unfortunately, all his ‘hard work’ went in vain when the actor blurted out a tasteless and insensitive “felt like a raped woman” remark during Sultan’s promotion.
Bhaijaan, it’s time to give your macho brain some rest and us sometime to recover from what you said.
Arvind Kejriwal
When in Goa, do as the Goans do, is exactly what Arvind Kejriwal did when he visited the coastal state. The Delhi Chief Minister let go of his iconic muffler only for it to be replaced by a floral tiara. ’Cuz hello! It’s summertime and the weather is fine! But Kejriwal failed to ‘fool’ us into thinking that the man does not desperately need a break. The AAP chief has been so busy accusing and fighting with the Centre that he didn’t even have the time to look at his ‘foolish’ avatar.
Anurag Kashyap
If there is any man who deserves a break today it’s got to be Anurag Kashyap. The filmmaker fought a long battle against Pahlaj Nihalani & Co for the release of Udta Punjab. But it seems CBFC headache is far from over for Kashyap. The board has now objected to the theme of his next film Haraamkhor. By the look of it, another Kashyap-Nihalani ‘Ugly’ clash is on its way.
So it’s logical that Kashyap takes a day off ’cuz ‘Us CBFC ko mitana hai hamein, goli nahin marenge , keh keh lenge uski!’
Sasural Simar Ka
Sasural Simar Ka is your epitome of WTF moments on Indian television. Just when you thought the writers smoked up a joint when they turned Simar into a fly, it seems that the scriptwriters turned towards stronger recreational drugs ’cuz nothing explains Simar being pregnant with a devil’s child during a hawan.
Seriously guys, you need to take a break from all the craziness you’ve fed us with and write a script that at least makes some sense to us.
