“Mon Dieu (My God),” claimed iconic detective Tintin after his hometown was shattered on Tuesday after three terrorists bombed the airport and metro station in Brussels.

While the world stands in solidarity, Tintin has taken to Twitter to express shock.

Images of a crying Tintin, the Belgian detective created by the renowned cartoonist Georges Remi or Herge, is doing the rounds on social media.

Terrorist outfit ISIS attacked Brussels in Belgium on Tuesday, killing over 30 people.

Security services found and destroyed a third bomb after the first two attacks left around 100 wounded.

The blast at the metro station in central Brussels killed 20 people and injured at least 130 people, according to a provisional toll from the national crisis response centre.

STOP, urges Tintin to all the terror organisations.

The ever angry Captain Haddock, Tintin’s best friend after Snowy is so agitated!

Another interesting image is doing the rounds. A cartoon by the popular French newspaper Le Monde stood in support with Brussels, but in a unique way. Paris was attacked in November in which 130 people were killed. Salah Abdeslam, one of the suspects was nabbed four days ago from Brussels itself. Uncanny, right?

Tintin has also shared Bruxelles, the famous 1974 composition by Dutch singer-songwriter Dick Annegarn.

Back home, senior politician Shashi Tharoor expressed his solidarity through…who else, Tintin only.

Music composer Shantanu Moitra too expressed shock about Tintin’s land becoming a terror hub.
