The Mumbai Police has a truly fascinating social media presence.

From tweeting out the lame excuses they’ve received from motorists, to sharing complaints of many troubled Mumbaikars, the police force has always found innovative ways of getting their message across.

Their latest endeavour, however, might be their best yet, as they’ve begun adding their own captions to a number of famous Amitabh Bachchan dialogues, in an effort to deter various types of crimes.

Using the hashtag, from #ReeltoReal, the police has used one of Mumbai’s most beloved sons towards a righteous cause.

Using Gabbar Singh, the Mumbai Police aimed to warn citizens of the potential threat of cyber criminals.

They even continue the thoughts from these dialogues to really bring forward their point.

Here’s one from the film Kaalia where the Mumbai Police cleverly subverts one of his dialogues to deter citizens from parking illegally.

Big B himself has given the endeavour his seal of approval via Twitter, while also cheekily telling people to give his old hit a re-watch!
