MS Dhoni was sacked as the captain of Rising Pune Supergiants ahead of the 10th season of the Indian Premier League on Sunday.

As soon as the news broke, fans of the cricketer started sharing their disappointment on social media. Some even went to the extent of saying that Rising Pune Supergiants should be boycotted when the league kicks off on 5 April. The news gave some hope to Chennai Super Kings fans who already anticipated Dhoni’s comeback with his former franchise.

Even Virender Sehwag could not help asking if the Pune Supergiants are on their way to losing their fans.
