It was Mingora, a small town in the Swat Valley of Pakistan where Malala Yousafzai, a teenager, was shot in the head by the Taliban.

On Saturday, 31 March, the inspiring woman, who is now a fierce advocate of women’s education, visited the town once again with her family. Seeing Malala post pictures of Swat Valley, with a flashback of her story playing right in our heads, we confess a tear or two fell from our eyes.

‘Zai’ met friends and family and even visited the all-boys Swat Cadet College Guli Bagh, about 15 kilometres away from the district’s main town. Of course, many people were shamelessly trolling her all this while, and diminishing her struggle by calling her a piece of “drama”.

But for every jerk that trolled her, there were many that supported her as well. Thank heavens for that.

Keep inspiring us, Malala!
