While the world searched for Brexit, Donald Trump, Paris Attacks and Hillary Clinton; the Indian internet reeled under a different kind of strain: We were wondering if Sonam Gupta was bewafa or not.

When Rajinikanth’s Kabali was being released, media was agog with discussions of it swallowing majority of chatter in 2016. But, the bhai of Bollywood surpassed the invincible Rajini!

Salman Khan’s Sultan beat Rajinikanth’s Kabali to retain the top spot as the most searched movie of 2016. It also scalped the 4th spot in overall searches in the country; Kabali secured the 5th position.
