VJ Jose Covaco’s video wherein he investigates the pothole situation in Mumbai has gone viral on social media.

The video is yet another intervention in the chain of events that occurred after Red FM RJ Malishka Mendonsa posted her #PotholeMix of the #SonuSong and was served a notice by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Where Them Potholes At?

Covaco’s video is a sarcastic take on the BMC’s appeal to Mumbaikars to trust them. It is also a reply to people on social media who have defended the authorities.

In the video, Covaco hilariously refuses the existence of potholes in Mumbai while pointing directly at them. Situating himself opposite to Lilawati Hospital in Bandra West, among other places, he comments on the mosquito breeding situation due to stagnant water in the potholes.

Twitter Rallies Behind Jose

The video has received more than seven thousand shares and likes on Twitter in less than two days. Mirror Now’s Faye D’Souza, who previously extended support to RJ Malishka, has responded to the video with a tweet and a short clip.

Others have responded to the video in an equally sarcastic measure.

Both Malishka and Red FM responded to the BMC’s accusations. Music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani also extended support to Malishka, calling her song a “brave and a much needed effort.
