Rowling’s back at it again!

If you are a Harry Potter fan, you know what we’re talking about. Author JK Rowling has kept social media on its toes for the past few months on account of her regular retcons and additional snippets of information about Potterverse, sending fans into a tizzy with every stray nugget of information. From snippets about Dumbledore and Grindelwald to ones about Hagrid and Nagini, the list goes on and on.

On Friday, 6 September morning, Rowling tweeted an image of the Dark Mark with a line about “darkness” coming from “unexpected places”. The tweet also mentioned Harry Potter and the Cursed Child , a stage play based on an original story by Rowling.

The play begins nineteen years after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and follows the life of Harry and his son (who is about to enter Hogwarts).

The reactions to Rowling’s tweet were not surprising. While some speculated about a new movie/sequel, others seemed exasperated with Rowling’s tendency to come up with announcements related to Potterverse – every once in a while – revising the interpretation of the events described in the books !

Here’s looking at some of the reactions.
