To mark the World Refugee Day on 20 June, the International Rescue committee invited seven YouTube creators to get to know refugees around the world. The video titled #MoreThanARefugee has been receiving backlash and has ‘dislikes’ vastly outnumbering the ‘likes’. A comment states:

Why does this video only show women and children when the majority of refugees are middle aged men? Is that fact something that should be hidden?

YouTube has been constantly blocking comments and deleting them, but people haven’t stopped commenting on the video. The comments on the video are proof that hatred against refugees is simmering. A comment says, “Europe is becoming a dangerous place because of refugees”. Another comment says, “Stay in your own country.”

Here’s the video, emphasising that each refugee has a story to share.
