Infosys management made an attempt to mollify all concerns over India’s second largest IT company’s worsening image, and the dispute among the founders over how it is being run. In the past few weeks, the company, where allegedly its founder and a former executive have raised concerns over various decisions by the board, has come under fire.

But when Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka took the stage to put everything to rest, it seemingly got worse. In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Sikka answered in affirmative to TV anchor Shereen Bhan’s question: “Are you here to stay?”

CEO Sikka further said, “I am a kshatriya warrior.”

Thanks to that caste reference, Sikka’s response saw a volley of tweets.
