#GoodNews: Internet Lauds Hyd Cop Who Breastfed Abandoned Baby

A Hyderabad police constable breastfed a two-month-old baby, who was found abandoned near Osmania Hospital, on 31 December 2018, reported ANI.

Priyanka, who was reportedly on maternity leave, said in a statement, “My husband who is a constable told me about the baby & I immediately decided to see her. Upon seeing her I realised she was hungry & breastfed her, felt happy (sic).”

‘Police Mom’: Netizens Salute Hyderabad Constable

As the news spread on social media, netizens lauded Priyanka for making the new year special for the two-month-old baby. Many called Priyanka ‘Police Mom’.

In an interview, Priyanka said, “I am a mother to a small baby, so I understood she was crying because of hunger. I immediately breastfed her and she calmed down.”

The baby was later shifted to the Government Maternity Hospital at Petlaburz, according to reports.
