In an attempt to enhance user experience, micro-blogging site Twitter on Monday announced its new feature of expanded tweets.

This essentially means that users can say much more in their tweets as media attachments like photos, videos, GIFs, polls, and quote tweets are now exempted from the 140-character limit.

However, links will remain a part of the 140-character count and so will the character limit.
