The reverence that most Bengalis have for their Chief Minister is so much, that this year they decided to portray her as a form of the goddess, in Bengal’s Nadia district.
As she wears her trademark saree and slippers, each of her hands seems to be supporting a pillar of development like railways, education, infrastructure.
The facial features are quite spot on, one could easily mistake the idol for the real person, but the fake hands would be a giveaway.
The pandal where Didi will make her debut as a deity will surely be the most-visited one, and makes it quite impossible to out-do this fanatic effort.
It could also have been made to celebrate her victory in the state polls this year, defeating her opponents, like Durga defeated the evil.
