In what could be the most-compelling PSA for the US Election, screenwriter and film director Joss Whedon brought together a “s**t ton” of famous people to urge people to register and vote in the most important election on 8 November.

The video includes The Avengers – Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo – Nathan Fillion, Tom Lenk, Ashley Johnson, Clark Gregg, Neil Patrick Harris, Cobie Smulders and many more, highlighting why it is crucial for American citizens to register and vote this year.

They are urging people saying that you can only get so many famous people together if the issue is one that truly matters to all of them, like a disease or an ecological crisis or a “racist and abusive coward”, who could permanently damage the fabric of society.

Every vote counts.

Their appeal is simple – to end the nightmare before it begins.

Each vote effects the presidency, the House, the local officials, the Supreme Court, the gun laws, the immigrants (some celebrities in the video are immigrants themselves).

It isn’t just an election, it’s a tipping point; for the country, for the world.

The PSA is to make people register to vote on savetheday.vote and save America from the nightmare that it can become.

They even said that if the country is saved from the ignorance and fear, Mark Ruffalo will do a nude scene in his next people (so that should be a good reason to vote if the fact that your vote matters isn’t good enough!).

In the words of Joe Biden, “Come onnnn, we’re America! Go make your vote count!”
