Remember Bengali rapping sensation Sawan Dutta of Macher Jhol fame?

She is back with another catchy tune called Dirty Beach in her inimitable style (and baffling accent). The story of a young lawyer in Mumbai named Afroz Khan, and how he started the world’s largest beach clean-up drive at Versova beach with nothing but a motley crew of volunteers.

He managed to remove 5,000 tonnes of plastic from the clogged beach in just 80 weeks, and makes a guest appearance in the video.

Afroz was awarded Champions of the Earth, 2016, which is the United Nations’ highest environmental honour. The clean up drive is on and needs more volunteers.
