What’s the f***ing big deal about the F-word?

Once upon a time, it was the most abused cuss word. Colorful, descriptive, cool. But then, the word got over-used. The abusers abused the abuse. It became a synonym for just about anything and everything.

Finally, when Mumbai-based Sneha Keshav had had effing enough of the F-word, she decided to create or identify words to replace it.

In her blog Taming of the F***ery, she embarked on a 100-day project. The idea - to introduce a new word every day to substitute for ‘F***’.

The Quint too got f***ing interested and decided to come up with some familiar everyday words that you could use to replace the F-word.

A Punjabi slang used to express annoyance.

Next time someone pisses you off, try saying Fittay Mooh instead of F**K You.

“Jack, Fittay Mooh”.

Works, right?

The desi Bhains Ki Annkh is as powerful as WTF. Try it!

“Bhains ki aankh, what’s happening here”?

Jhakaas is the baap of all words to describe awesomeness and who says it better than Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor.

“This dress looks Jhakaas on you.”

The slang means shit.

Instead of saying “potty”. We took a slightly sophisticated desi word.

“Kakka, this is so crazy.”

Way cooler than Potty.

Bhaad Mein Jaa might sound plain and boring but once said powerfully and with the right attitude, bas maaza aa jaata hai!

“Bhaad mein Jaa. I’m not doing this.”
