November has been a tumultuous month for Indians.

First, on the fateful evening of 8 November, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes would not be legal tender anymore.

Second, the Supreme Court, on Wednesday morning passed an order saying all cinema halls across India should play the national anthem before a movie is screened, accompanied by the national flag on the screen.
