Cop saves 12-day baby’s life. 

When a cop pulled up a car in Berkeley for over speeding, little did he know that he would end up saving the life of a 12-day infant.

On June 11, a Deputy was conducting routine patrol in the unincorporated Summerville area of Berkeley County when he stopped a vehicle for speeding.

“Upon stopping the vehicle, the driver immediately exited the car and exclaimed that the baby in her vehicle had stopped breathing. Deputy W. Kimbro knew he needed to act immediately to save the baby’s life.”

According to the driver, the 12-day old baby had apparently stopped breathing after consuming a bottle of milk. The cop immediately gave cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR to the baby who was choking.

He even massaged the baby and did all that he could to bring him back to life. The now viral video shows the desperation with which Kimbro was trying to save the baby.

He was heard saying “ Come on baby, cry for me, cry for me! Open those beautiful eyes”. Almost miraculously after a few minutes, the baby started crying.
