‘Chewbacca Mom’ Has a Field Day at the Facebook Headquarters

‘Chewbacca Mom’ meets the real Chewbacca at the Facebook headquarters.

Last week, Candace Payne, a woman from Texas broke the record for the most-watched Facebook live video ever. The video is quite literally a four-minute long clip of Payne sitting in her car, wearing a Chewbacca mask. But nobody can ignore how ecstatic she seems with her latest buy. Social media is fondly calling her ‘Chewbacca Mom’.

141 million views later, not only did she make a hilarious appearance on The Late Late Show with James Conrad, but she also had another surprise in store for her.

Mark Zucherberg, the CEO of Facebook invited her over to the headquarters in California.

Payne spent the day at the headquarters, and got to meet the actual Chewbacca. What’s more, the pair even rode bicycles, and had coffee together.

The best part about all this, is being able to share the joy. I had one lady message me and tell me that she had an autistic daughter who hadn’t laughed in two months. And when she watched the video, she couldn’t stop laughing.

While the video she posted has the whole online world in splits, Payne herself cannot contain her laughter. “I’m such a happy Chewbacca!” she exclaims in the video. Looks like this happy ‘Chewbacca Mom’ has all the more reason to be happy now.
