Former BJP MP Tarun Vijay has managed to raise, unintentionally so, quite a few relevant questions on social media in the last 24 hours:

The most popular one up until now:

1) How does one go about taking a “morning walk’’ at around 12.11am?

The others:

2) Whom was he targeting when he claimed that the concerned individual's popularity can be attributed to PM Narendra Modi’s backing?

3) Is all well within the BJP?

4) When will he be done with his “morning walk” and reactivate his Twitter account?

The fourth question has an easy answer since Mr Vijay’s account has been reactivated. As for the others, here’s a quick look at everything that transpired:

The BJP leader tweeted out an update calling out those “commenting, mocking at...Rahul Gandhi’s Kailas Yatra’’. He further claimed that such behaviour is “not what a Hindu should do. It is all between him (Rahul Gandhi) and Shiva”. This was at 7.58 pm. According to a lot of Twitter users, this could have been a jibe taken at BJP President Amit Shah for politicising Rahul Gandhi’s pilgrimage.

Around the same time, Mr Vijay put out four other tweets along the same lines, chastising “them’’ for making the pilgrimage out to be a political event and emphasizing on the significance of the Yatra.

Was BJP President Amit Shah the Target?

After this, at 11.08pm, a tweet was put out from Mr Vijay’s handle saying this:

What He Said...

What Twitter Read...

It is not over!

Post this, the former BJP MP tweeted again at 12.11 am. This time, a rather abrupt, short one:

After announcing his “morning walk’’ and the “sacking’’, his handle was deactivated (only to be brought back to life in a few hours) . He claimed that he is filing a police complaint and that the “wrong’’ tweets had been deleted.

Mr Vijay’s latest tweets seem to have brought things back to order.
