Ben Heine continues to stun the world with his unique style of bringing together photographs and 3D sketches in a way that’ll make you feel like you exist in a time warp. The Belgian artist’s concept of Pencil vs Camera will make your jaw drop. The seamless flow from reality to imagination makes Heine’s artwork simply epic. Check out some of his incredible work.

Heine’s imagination is so accurate that it would compel you to think it’s real. He redefines the concept of juxtaposition and how! His hand is the only thing that really gives it away. If it wasn’t in every picture, you would find yourself wondering how the two images blend so perfectly.

The artist turns his own idea on its head in this one from the Pencil Vs Camera series. Instead of placing the sketch against reality, he places himself inside his imaginary world. Then, he clicks the picture using a tripod and a self timer and voila! Wait, is that a sketched face on a real body?

And here’s how the man does it! These pictures of work in progress are just as amazing as his finished pieces. This 3D sketch of a life-sized tiger and an owl in a dense forest is sketched entirely by hand!

And this masterpiece blends reality with a parallel universe. A charming man gazes from an old world at this pretty girl on a bench. Heine’s out of the box thinking is freakishly bang on in terms of scale and perspective.

And here’s another experiment. Heine adds a new twist to his Pencil vs Camera series by literally playing with fire. This one brings together a sketch, a landscape and fire and the outcome is just fabulous. Such a simple image is packed with emotions and a story!
