The Embassy of Belgium in New Delhi bore witness to quite a few anomalies on Wednesday night.

The lush green lawns were teeming with nationals from across the globe, swaying to Bollywood music, some even singing along with all the tunes! The stage, on the other hand, was adorned by a Belgium-based dance collective, Bollylicious, as they danced to B-Town’s favourite numbers, while incorporating a range of traditional desi styles!

Take a look:

But wait, there’s more!

The guests of honour?

Their Majesties, the King and Queen of Belgium themselves.

As a part of their state visit to India, the Belgian Embassy had invited Bollylicious to perform for the royal family.

Seated right before the stage, ready to take in the performances, the duo looked more than happy to be be a part of the celebrations. As a part of their state visit to India, the Belgian Embassy had invited Bollylicious to perform for the royal family and be a part of the festivities.

Quint Neon was there too, to take in everything and get back to you with all the deets! Here’s a quick look at some of the snapshots:

‘Bollylicious’ came into being in 2012 and Sooraj, Laura, Tom and Ayla were all smiles as they told The Quint about their journey. All of them started out young and between them, they specialise in a number of dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Kathak, and contemporary dance, to name a few. They aim to bring Indian dance culture to international audiences and have been on So You Think You Can Dance (2015)!
The team also performed for PM Narendra Modi during his Brussels visit in 2016.
