Bajirao & Padmaavat Now in a Star Wars Epic, Thanks to a YouTuber

YouTuber reimagines ‘Bajirao Mastani’ And ‘Padmaavat as an epic Star Wars episode.

Here’s a seamless rendition of Bollywood’s Star wars.

A YouTuber has re-imagined India’s two epic movies, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat as a Star Wars epic. Bollywood is yet to make a quintessential sci-fi epic, and thus this YouTuber sprinkled the exiting, larger than life ones with some stereotypical Star Wars elements.

Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise, created by George Lucas. The saga quickly became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. The first film was followed by two successful sequels, The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983); these three films constitute the original Star Wars trilogy.

Indians have been huge consumers of the franchise and have tried to use their tropes in Bollywood masala movies. The combination however, has rarely worked.

Sharktimaan, the YouTuber however, has tried to seamlessly blend the two diametrically opposite worlds and has managed to do a decent job of it. CGI’d fan trailer combines X-wings flying beside Bajirao and Mastani, to a gritty lightsaber battle between Khilji and Ratan Singh.
