The Supreme Court on Friday, 28 September, removed all restrictions imposed on the entry of women of menstruating age at the Sabarimala temple. Pronouncing the verdict, CJI Misra read out the judgment for himself and Justice Khanwilkar and said a woman is not lesser or inferior to a man, and that patriarchy of religion cannot be permitted to trump over faith.
