On any other day, it would've been called an expert photoshopped image. The Indian Express photographer Anil Sharma struck a social nerve when he captured Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi together in the embrace of each other's glances.

The two party leaders were attending the memorial event of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31 October at the Parliament. Gandhi, who denounced the GST and termed it 'Gabbar Singh Tax', came face to face with PM Modi while paying floral tributes to Sardar Patel.

When The Indian Express made the image public, it instantly garnered attention and underwent ludicrous captioning from users on social media.
