Ever since he reactivated his Twitter account over a month back, American rapper Kanye West’s tweets have been in the spotlight.

Earlier this month, West found himself in the middle of controversy on account of his remarks on slavery and for expressing his allegiance to US President Donald Trump.

The rapper took to Twitter earlier this week and told the world how “sometimes we all need hugs”.

Following the rather ambiguous tweet, West posted a picture of Indian spiritual guru, Mata Amritanandmayi, popularly known as Amma Mata along with a caption “Amma Mata had given over 32 million hugs”.

Naturally, Twitter users had some thoughts about this:

“Hug Life’’!

Ouch!

Wait. Really?

The Real Question Remains Unanswered

Side Note: Mata Amritanandmayi, who was born in Kerala, is revered by many and her devotees often call her the “hugging saint”.
