Year 2018’s last big release, Simmba is finally here! Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film has an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh as Simmba, new star in town, Sara Ali Khan, and veteran actors, Ashutosh Rana and Sonu Sood.
The movie is a complete masala entertainer — something which is expected of a Rohit Shetty flick. Be it the slow-mo action scenes, the bone breaking action, the high pitched symphony style music and yes, the flying Scorpio too!
Now, the plot seems to be a bit — actually very — cliched. Post the movie you are left wondering, “where did I last see a similar plot?”
The answer, probably lies in 80s cinema. But all-in-all the movie is worth a one-time watch.
