“What do we say to the God of death?

Not today”

Claire Walton, an 88-year-old woman from Providence, Rhode Island must have said exactly that as she streamed the third episode of Game Of Thrones season 8!

Claire’s dying wish was to be able to watch the Battle of Winterfell, what she did not see coming was the sweetest gesture from the cast members of her favourite show!

The hospice patient had requested her care team, jokingly, that she wanted to be able to watch the third episode of the show and possibly even meet a few cast members. While she thought that her demand was maybe pushing her luck, the good people at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center managed to get ten cast members from the show to give her their wishes.

Clearly the cast is not as dreadful as their characters on the show are! The 10 actors who gave Claire their thoughtful greetings included Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Miltos Yerolemou (First Sword of Braavos and Arya Stark's first teacher) and Josef Altin (Pypar) in the show.

“I know you can’t be here today, but I just wanted to say hello, and that you are with us in spirit and that we’re thinking of you and sending you all our love,”

“How are you doing Claire? It’s Liam here, I wish you the very best. I hope your days are not bad and I hope you can manage.”

The actors even goofed around in their selfie videos realizing that they might not be recognizable without their attires! Staz Nair, who played Khaleesi's bodyguard in his video to Claire, laughingly said -"Imagine a beard. A beard, long hair and a horse."

Now that’s so adorable!

*sobs*

The episode aired on Sunday on HBO and Walton passed away Monday evening but we’re happy she got the farewell she wanted and totally deserved.
