Sonam, your wedding was a fancy-a** affair and I can’t even begin to describe how much I enjoyed it. To be honest, ever since Anand admitted that he had a “style crush” on you, back in 2017, I could hear wedding bells.

The two of you looked SOO... in love and I could see how excited you were. Whether it was your happy dance at the mehendi function or how you leapt to put the jaimala on Anand...I could sense oodles of love in the air.

Your wedding was a fancy a** affair and I don’t think I can even begin to describe how much I enjoyed it.

You sat there for hours as the celebrity mehendi artist Veena Nagda decked up your hands and feet with intricate mehendi patterns. Then we saw you, up and about, dancing with your peeps in the most gorgeous outfit!

And my God, the look on your face when Anand surprised you at the mehendi function. I honestly think all men must take a cue from Anand and ditch all traditions just to make their partners squeal with joy!

Now to the D-day.

Not like the world hasn’t said it already, but you (totes) killed it in the traditional red attire. Anuradha Vakil did a fabulous job by keeping the choli oh-so-different. The choker-style neck blouse was the most unconventional choice and that’s why you’re the DIVA, Sonam.

But what was up with aunties telling you how to behave and how to act coy during your jaimala scenes?

“Aap bolo beta.”

But, I kid you not, your reception party was the real deal.

It was a star-studded party with crazy dance moves. Ranveer Singh stole the show, but we did see the poor chap quietly texting in a corner. Aww, a certain person missing at this GALA?

As a commoner, who doesn’t usually get the insider’s perspective on most Bollywood parties, I always used to wonder if stars danced to their own songs (from movies) or is it too weird for them to do so?

But...

This is why I love Fubu AKA Arjun Kapoor. The guy is so cute and cool at the same time. (Not only does he admit, on national television, that he has no projects in hand, but also dances to his own songs at his sister’s wedding...with chachaji!)

I am happy I got a chance to be there, with all the celebrities!

Witnessing Salman and Shahrukh dance like maniacs, Anil Kapoor as the adorable host (managing to look like he’s in his early thirties), Sunita Kapoor’s effervescent personality and the delicious Leaning Tower of Pisa-type cake by Pooja Dhingra...it was all worth it!

P.S: If it weren’t for Instagram, how would I have enjoyed every bit of the celebration?
