Saif Ali Khan or Bollywood’s Nawab turns 49 today. You have seen him act or definitely have gushed at his ‘Tom Cruise’ look in Hum Tum. But the actor has a crazy off-screen personality as well. Not many in the industry can compete with his wit. We’re guessing this is where his spot on sense of humour in the movies comes from.

Saif Ali Khan has time and again proven that he likes to experiment with his roles. From Omkara to Kaalakaandi or even Rangoon, the actor has shown that he’s willing to challenge himself on screen.

Saif took a cue from the failures at box office and was actually one of the first to realise the potential of online viewing platforms like Netflix. He went on to sign Sacred Games and says that it’s the most intelligent script he’s worked on in his career so far.

However, acting wasn’t his first choice. He wanted to follow his father and become a cricketer. When he did start as an actor, he gave five flops and then Hum Saath Saath Hain happened, which changed his career graph for the better.

His character Sameer from Dil Chahta Hai remains one of our favourites, and movies like Kal Ho Na Ho, Hum Tum and Love Aj Kal top the charts for a lot his fans.
