Akshay had tweeted on 22 April that he was getting into “unknown and uncharted territory”. This led fans and a few media platforms to speculate that the actor was gearing up to contest the ongoing general elections as a BJP candidate, though the rumour was soon squashed by Akshay himself. He later revealed that he was referring to his interview with Modi.
