What do you do when you aspire to be an IPS officer, but you fail class 12?

Well, as per 20-year-old Abhay Meena, you fake it till you make it.

Meena the so-called motivational speaker was arrested in Jaipur by cops from Special Operations group for posing as an IPS officer and extorting from people.

According to this TOI report, in spite of dropping out of school, Meena gave lectures to students on how to crack both IIT and UPSC in first try.

Meena also went arround giving awards to other police officers. He met several high ranking cops at page 3 events like fashion shows, pep talk events and other high profile gala events, and most people failed to see through his act. He was finally investigated thoroughly after someone got suspicious of his business card that spelled Crime Branch with an extra ‘e’. (Branche), and ‘capitol’, instead of capital.

“He was a social media sensation. People were inspired by the story that somebody could become an IPS officer at such an early age.”
Additional SP (ASP) Karan Sharma told TOI

Further investigation revealed that he drove a car with three-star ranked number plate that are reserved for only high ranking of officers. And yet no traffic police officer ever bothered to check it out.

Meena and his live-in partner not only used his fake identity as an IPS officer to stay at expensive hotels and check out without paying, but they also extorted money from those seeking ‘tips’ from him to crack the tough civil service exams.

Sounds right out of a Bollywood script, right?
