We're all excited for 15 August, not just because it’s Independence Day (and a public holiday!) but also because that’s when the second season of Sacred Games premieres. While you gear up to binge watch the Netflix show, check out this video for some interesting behind-the-scenes trivia from its cast and crew.

Pankaj Tripathi is ruling the OTT space but do you know the actor hasn't watched any show on any platform in the last two years?

The ‘Guruji’ of acting.

Saif has spent over 25 years in the industry and worked in over 60 films, but he considers Sacred Games the "most creative" and "most intelligent" project of his career.

We can’t imagine anyone else as police inspector Sartaj Singh.

Believe it or not, Nawaz is not a switch-on-switch-off actor. He likes to stay in character for as long as he is shooting a film/show and feels it helps him better his performance. That explains his nailing every scene as formidable mafia kingpin Gaitonde.

That’s some commitment!

Pankaj Tripathi locked himself in a room to understand and get into the character of 'Guruji'. It’s the only role that he did this for because he had absolutely no point of reference on which to base his performance.

Can’t wait to see Guruji’s character unfold on season 2.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Anurag Kashyap share a great camaraderie, and the director feels that the things Nawaz does for him, he wouldn’t for any other filmmaker.

A collaboration the audience always looks forward to.

We saw how brutally Sartaj’s thumb was chopped by Malcolm Murad, played by Luke Kenny. But, did you know that Saif almost lost his thumb IRL while shooting for a film?

That’s quite a story.
