In an industry where female actors obsess over weight, Sara Ali Khan spoke candidly about battling PCOD and revealed that she was a confident teenager who weighed 96 kilos, on national television right before her big Bollywood debut- now, how many actors would do that? As Sara turns a year older, here are some times when the actor was way too wise for her years.

The bold and brave actor has given the media and her fans enough reasons to love her.

At her first-ever official interaction with the media, she thanked them for being so warm and welcoming towards her. She even sent a handwritten note to the paparazzi to express her gratitude and personally invited each photographer for coffee before the release of her debut film Kedarnath.

Paparazzi’s favourite.

Sara signed her second project Simmba even before the release of her debut film. At the Kedarnath trailer launch, the actor did not dodge a reporter’s question on nepotism but instantly admitted that it exists and added that “star kids” have access that others can only dream of.

Team Simmba.

But, the actor has also always been aware of the pressure that comes with being Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter and how it's doubly tough for her to create an identity of her own and be known for her work and the actor she is.

Sara wanted to be an actor since she was four.

Sara has been unapologetically honest about her family dynamics, whether it’s her parents’ divorce or her equation with Kareena. She credits her mom Amrita for the healthy equation she shares with Bebo. When she made her debut on Karan Johar’s Koffee couch, she even revealed that it was her mother who dressed her up for her father’s second wedding.

As KJo put it, quintessential modern beautiful family.

She has also never shied away from talking about the time when her parents split up. She lived with her mother and her abba was always a call away- she called that “the perfect setting” because her parents were happy and she continued to share a strong bond with both... mature well beyond her years, isn’t she?

Saif and Amrita got divorced in 2004.
