18-Year-Old Girl Beats up Harassers, Hands Them over to Police
The men allegedly passed lewd comments, accosted her and one of them allegedly held her hand.
We’ve all heard that women must know techniques of self defence which could come in handy outside those studio classes and an 18-year-old girl has shown us just that. Three men allegedly tried to sexually harass her in West Bengal’s Birbhum district, and the girl asked them to back off. But when they didn’t heed the warning, she overpowered them with her martial art moves, Hindustan Times reported.
Police said that the incident took place when she had gone out to shop in her locality. The men allegedly passed lewd comments, accosted her and one of them allegedly held her hand when she asked them to cop-out.
The young girl’s bravery got people chatting on social media too and Bengali actor Tota Roy Choudhary took to Twitter to congratulate her.
Her mother reported the incident with the police and said that Priyanka is keen learner of martial arts and took on the molesters single-handedly after they didn’t budge.
The three accused – identified as Amit Sahani, Dip Mandal and Bhaskar Mandal – have been arrested after people caught them in Sainthia, 195 km from Kolkata.
