As the only female Uber driver in Kolkata, Sushma Midde is one of the extraordinary women we came across in our search for young achievers.
Midde, who has completed over 500 trips, told The Quint, “I love this life. I thoroughly enjoy what I am doing.” It feels great to be greeted by passengers who are usually pleasantly surprised to encounter a female driver, she said.
Midde added that she doesn’t let herself be affected by people who disapprove of a woman in this profession. Instead, she enjoys driving her car on Kolkata’s streets.
