Every festival or occasion is incomplete without sweets. Gifting sweets has always been the benchmark of Indian tradition, especially during festivals.

As Holi is around the corner, here is how you can prepare the Gujiya a little hatke!

Ingredients

For the filling:

  • Chocolate cake crumbs
  • Raisins

For the shell:

  • Maida
  • Oil
  • Water

Method:

  • Mix maida, oil and water and knead into a dough.
  • Mix the cake crumbs and raisins. Keep aside.
  • Roll out the dough and cut out circles.
  • Spoon out some filling on each circle. Fold in half and crimp the edges with a fork.
  • Fry in hot oil.
