It’s no secret that Game of Thrones has acquired a cult following around the world, and India too, has now joined the party.

Nestled in Srinagar is ‘The Winterfell Cafe,’ reportedly India’s first Game of Thrones-themed restaurant. The brainchild of Kashmir-native, and GoT fans Kamran Nisar and Ummar Nisar, ‘The Winterfell Cafe’ comes with everything – ranging from a mock ‘Iron Throne’ to GoT related art work – all wrapped up in a medieval European aesthetic.

Jon Snow could’ve done with a nice soft couch at the end of a long shift at the wall. Unlike Snow, however, you’ll be able to enjoy all the modern comforts instead of being seated on a cold damp wooden platform.

We wanted to give Srinagar a place where people from all walks of life could find a congregation point over great food and mind-numbing coffee with the objective of Kashmir’s legendary hospitality not being lost in a bistro-atmosphere.
