The trailer of Ribhu Dasgupta’s upcoming thriller TE3N is impressive and interesting. Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan along with the film’s director launched the trailer at an event in Mumbai. Mr Bachchan in fact drove to the event himself looking dapper in a pathani kurta teamed with a bright yellow sleeveless jacket. Vidya Balan looked elegant in white too. But we missed interacting with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has been busy wrapping up Anurag Kashyap’s Raman Raghav.

Mr Bachchan spoke highly of his two co-stars, Nawaz and Vidya. He also said that it was the story of the film that he found attractive and unique. 

The story of the film was what really was very attractive to me. I felt that it was very unique.

Nawaz might have missed the promotional event but he’s been tweeting about his experience of working with Mr Bachchan and is full of praises for the veteran actor.

The film’s trailer reveals the central plot of the film, a grandfather in search of justice for the kidnapping and murder of his granddaughter Angela. Amitabh Bachchan revealed some information about his character John Biswas in the film- 

Ribhu wanted me to play a weak character, who is distressed by the fact that there would be a tragedy in his family and how he’s going to go about it.

One thing about this film is that there was no set made anywhere. All the locations that you can see are all actual locations and there’s a different charm about them. I used to wonder how we would shoot in certain places, such as the most difficult <i>chowraha</i> near Grand Hotel, where there is immense crowd.

TE3N revolves around a cop turned priest played by Nawazuddin and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandfather character, while Vidya Balan makes only a special appearance in the film as an investigating officer. The film is set to hit theatres on June 10th, 2016.
