‘Kabir Singh’ Song: Shahid Kapoor Is Heartbroken in ‘Bekhayali’
Kabir Singh is a remake of Arjun Reddy.
The first song from Kabir Singh is out and sees a heartbroken Kabir(Shahid Kapoor) going through his past memories with Preeti- the girl he is in love with. The melodious song has been sung by Sachet Tandon and composed by Sachet-Parampara, while the lyrics have been written by Irshad Kamil.

One sees Kabir’s inability to deal with a heart break and how he resorts to substance abuse to distract himself. The film is about Kabir Singh an extremely intelligent surgeon who is also an acloholic and goes on the path of self-destruction after his ex-lover marries someone else.
The film is a remake of the Telegu film Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Sandeep Vanga who has also directed Kabir Singh.
Talking about adapting Arjun Reddy for Bollywood, Shahid told PTI, “Creating a remake is damn tough. You have loved it for what it was but you can't go out there and copy it. It has to be a rediscovery...the original was Arjun Reddy, based in Hyderabad and Bangalore. This is Kabir Singh which is based in Delhi and Mumbai. May be Arjun and Kabir are cousins but they are not the same person. My journey is only to find Kabir Singh.”
