Others were reminded of the uniquely millennial problem of ‘adulting’.

And a few even took a dig at current affairs.

Kabir Singh is the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. The film is directed by Sandeep Vanga and stars Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani. Shahid plays the titular character Kabir Singh, a brash, alcoholic doctor who is quick to anger and is trying his best to forget his former partner who is forced to marry someone else. A flashback in the trailer shows a younger, sober Kabir falling in love with her when they were fellow students in college.

Kabir Singh hits theatres on 21 June.
