If the trailer of Housefull 4 isn’t enough, the first song Ek Chumma is equally cringeworthy. The video starts with Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol and Riteish Deshmukh chasing Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde and Kirti Kharbanda. The men are dressed in the Scottish Highland dress, playing the bagpiper but at the same time dancing to desi lyrics. Coming to the lyrics. “Gundo se chhuraya hai, maine tujhe bachaya hai/Haan pooch le saamne janta hai/Ek chumma toh banta hai.” Stalking and chasing - the two things that Bollywood has been called out time and again - the song celebrates them.

Listen to the song here:

At one point, Akshay, Bobby and Riteish even kiss the women without their consent only to be slapped by them. Though the women resist and say that they doubt the intentions of the men, but still they are seen to be all-forgiving in nature and even shake a leg with them. The song takes us back to the 90s, when songs such as Jumma Chumma (Hum), Khambe Jaisi Khadi Hai (Dil), Khud Ko Kya Samajhti Hai (Khiladi) reeked of sexism.
