It’s time when Akshay Kumar fans took a break from his patriotic films and laugh to his comic timing again. The Housefull 4 trailer is out where he will be seen in a comic role, much like the previous Housefull movies. Alongside Akshay Kumar, we’ll see Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kirti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde.

The trailer sees Kriti, Pooja and Kirti as princesses of Sitamgarh in 1419, with Akshay and Bobby as princes and Riteish as a dance teacher. With Akshay remembering their previous life and attempting to align it with their current one, a chaotic situation arises leaving us in splits.

The trailer also stars Johnny Lever and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who’s seen narrating dialogues just like his character Ganesh Gaitonde from Sacred Games.

Akshay and Riteish have starred in the Housefull franchise since 2010. In 2010, Akshay was seen opposite Deepika Padukone. The film was directed by Sajid Khan and opened to success at the box office.

Sajid Khan also directed the second Housefull which starred Akshay and Riteish with John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Asin and Zareen Khan. The movie released in 2012 and did better business than the first one.

The third film was co-directed by Sajid Khan and Farhad Samji and it released in 2016. Apart from Akshay, the film starred Riteish, Jacqueline, Abishek Bachchan, Lisa Haydon and Nargis Fakri.

Housefull 4 was supposed to be directed by Sajid Khan but the director was on suspension after some allegations came up against him during last year’s #MeToo movement. The decision to keep him off movies was taken by Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association.
