The first pictures of Soundarya Rajinikanth and Vishagan Vanangamudi’s pre-wedding celebrations are here. The couple are set to tie the knot on 11 February 2019 in an intimate affair at The Leela Palace in MRC Nagar, Chennai. The family has been keeping it a low-key affair.
The celebrations were kicked off today with a ‘sumangali pooja,’ followed by a reception at Raghavendra Mandapam in Kodambakkam, Chennai.
Soundarya Rajinikanth is Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s youngest daughter. Soundarya was earlier married to Ashwin Ramkumar, an industrialist, they got officially divorced in 2017.
Soundarya and Vishagan got engaged in a private family ceremony last year. From cocktail parties to exclusive receptions for the industry biggies, the weekend is expected to be a lavish affair.
Soundarya is known for her graphic designing on films like Sivaji and she made her directorial debut with Kochadaiiyaan, an animated movie starring her father Rajinikanth. Vishagan runs a pharmaceutical company and has also acted in Tamil films.
The 2.0 star has been personally inviting stars and industrialists from all over the country. Rajinikanth visited actor-turned politician Kamal Haasan, DMK President MK Stalin, Tamil Nadu Congress Chief Thirunavukkarasar, as well as President of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi Thol Thirumavalavan, among others to invite them for his daughter’s wedding.
